It is said that blogs are search engines’ top duckies when it comes to page indexing. Proof to this is the fast and consistent rise of blogs on search results, even faster and steadier than traditional websites would climb the rankings. Of course, the eternal question is why. Though no SEO guru has identified with certainty the reasons why blogs seem to be a hit with search engines, ideas have been floating around. They say it’s because a blog is typically consistently updated. And since they are constantly viewed by the spiders as fresh content, they earn credits for the ranking based on that point. Another theory is the fact that blogs are hosted on a big and dynamic domain, something that is naturally pleasing to search bots. There are actually more ideas and speculations as to why search engines just love blogs. But the more crucial question that should be asked, among the blogs that seem to be leaders in the whole SEO ranking battle, is, how does one make his blog excel? Naturally, there are guidelines contained in almost every SEO article on how to make successful bloga. A lot of factors could actually be considered but if one were to sum them all up, there is only one thing that differentiates a successful blogger and one who can only dream of it – passion. Successful bloggers are always driven by their passions about their topics and sharing information to others. Yes, even the lucrative part could be put in second place. A blogger’s passion will drive him to update his blog consistently by adding more and more important information over time. Updates need not be several in a day and can even be just once or twice a week. The most important is consistency and, of course, relevance. Definitely, updates must be meaningful to the value of the blog as an entirety. This means a blog for puppies should, by no chance, publish a post on skin whitening products. Although this may sound too obvious, some people do make the mistake and suffer the consequences through low page ranks. And while there’s no question about the fact that one can earn money blogging , the unequivocal factor for success is still the earnestness of the blogger and his natural drive to keep his blog going no matter what.
